ActiveDesk ("we", "our", "us", "Software") provides corporate employee monitoring and productivity management tools. This Privacy Policy outlines our data capture mechanisms, server storage practices, legal disclaimers, and employee user responsibilities.
1. Purpose & Scope of Screen Monitoring
ActiveDesk captures desktop screen images strictly for **corporate work monitoring and productivity auditing purposes**. Captured image files are transmitted securely over SSL/TLS and stored directly on protected company servers. By using the ActiveDesk software agent, employers and employees acknowledge that screen activity during active tracked sessions will be recorded as part of regular work evaluation.
2. Mandatory Employee Duty & Personal Data Prohibition
MANDATORY NOTICE TO ALL EMPLOYEES:
Employees MUST NEVER access personal accounts, online banking portals, personal credit/debit card information, private emails, or any sensitive personal credentials while ActiveDesk tracking is active. ActiveDesk is designed exclusively for work-related activities.
3. Absolute Limitation of Liability & Data Leak Waiver
If an employee, in direct violation of company policy, accesses personal, financial, banking, or sensitive private accounts while ActiveDesk is actively tracking, screen capture routines may record what is rendered on display. **ActiveDesk, its developers, parent company, and hosting affiliates explicitly disclaim all legal liability for any inadvertent exposure, capture, storage, or loss of private or personal data resulting from employee failure to adhere to this restriction.** The entire risk and legal responsibility for opening personal accounts during active tracking rests with the user.
4. Non-Collection of Sensitive Application Credentials
ActiveDesk **does NOT capture, log, intercept, or store sensitive login credentials, plain-text passwords, or private input data** from any third-party website, browser, or non-ActiveDesk application. Input tracking is limited exclusively to quantitative volume counters (calculating mouse click counts and key press frequency per minute to determine active vs. idle hours).
5. Data Storage, Security & Server Retention
All captured screenshots, webcam verification snapshots, and attendance logs are transferred to enterprise server infrastructure using modern SSL/TLS encryption. Data is stored with strict access controls accessible only by authorized corporate administrators and managers. Data retention policies are governed by employer configuration settings.

Licensees (employers) warrant that they have provided full disclosure to all monitored workers regarding background tracking, screen sampling, webcam presence verification, and time tracking routines in full compliance with local labor and privacy laws.
2. User Conduct & Personal Activity Restrictions
Monitored users agree to utilize workstations running ActiveDesk solely for authorized business operations. Users are strictly forbidden from opening private financial, medical, banking, or non-work-related portals while time tracking is active. ActiveDesk bears no responsibility for data captured when users operate outside authorized scope.
3. Prohibition of Software Tampering
Users shall not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, bypass, block, or manipulate the ActiveDesk agent service, webcam modules, session chunking, or background data transmission scripts.
4. Warranty Disclaimer & Hold Harmless
ActiveDesk is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. In no event shall ActiveDesk, its software developers, or service providers be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of software usage, local network interruptions, or unauthorized employee personal data entry.
